History of Horses in America and the Piebald Horse

The oldest known horse existed 60-45 million years ago! It was called the Eohippus or Hyracotherium. It's the size of a dog almost. Ancient horses cross over Eurasia, likely by the Bering Land Bridge. Several Migrations back and forth.Though it is widely held over that our Wild Horses descend from stock brought over by Spanish explorers some Scientists trace there lineage back to ancient horses of North America.

C. 8000 B.C.E
The last ancient horses left in North America die out toward the end of the Pleistocene.
Horses now exist in. Asia, Europe, and Africa.

The horses return to North America with second voyage of Spanish explorer Christopher Columbus.
Over time Native American populations become skilled Horseman, while ranchers and farmers rely heavily on horse for hard task. The wild horse population begins to re-emerge as some of the horses get loose.

By 19th century, some accounts estimate the wild horse population in North America as Two Million or more.

About the horse called the Piebald or Pied that I will be drawing.
A Piebald/Pied Has a spotting pattern of large unpigmented usually white areas of hair. Scales or feathers and normally unpigmented under white patches generally black.

I will put a picture of my drawing of a Piebald when im done painting and drawing it in! Bye :D

Why Trees are Important

Trees are really important here are 10 reasons why!! Number 1: Lets face it! we would not be alive if there were no trees. A mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as 10 people inhale in a year! What many people don't realize is the forest also acts as a giant filter that cleans the air we breath. Number 2: Trees clean the soil. The term phytoremediation is a fancy word for the absorption of dangerous chemicals and other pollutants that have entered the soil! Trees can sometimes clean this or they have it in them! Number 3: Trees control noise! If you dont have many trees then plant some! They help block out noise :DD! Here are 10 trees that are really nice for landscaping! 1: Red Maple! 2: Yellow Poplar or Tuliptree! 3: Red and White Oak! 4: Flowering Dogwood! 5:Sycamore! 6: American Elm! 7:River Birch! 8:American Holly! 9:Redbud! 10:Conifers! Number 4: Trees increase property value! Trees will increase ur property value by 15% ! So go buy urself some trees! Number 5: They also help feed our animals! Like moths butterflys and more! So nothing would be alive if we didn't have trees!

They simply huddled with half-closed eyes, numb to their surroundings. The noise died away. Fire-Heart took a deep breath and stepped around the corner, out into the thin light. A gray Wind-Clan tom spun around, his fur standing on end as ha yowled an alarm to the rest of the Clan. In one smooth movement, the Wind-Clan warriors formed a line across the tunnel in front of the queens and elders, their backs arched hissing fiercely. With a feeling of dread, Fire-Heart saw the glint of unsheathed claws and thorn-sharp fangs. These half-starved cats were about to attack.....

Fire-heart's paws worked furiously, and the river tossed him against the rock, driving the breath out of his body. He scrabbled at the rough surface, bracing himself against  the rushing water, and found himself face-to-face with two kits. They were crouched  on a tangled met of twigs, leaves, and twoleg rubbish. The mat lurched and their wails grew louder. ''Here we go,'' Fire-Heart muttered. ''Star-Clan help us!'''

For generations four Clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to the laws
laid down by the warrior ancestors. But the Thunder-Clan cats are in grave danger and
the sinister Shadow-Clan grows stronger everyday. Noble warriors are dying and some deaths are more mysterious then others. In the midst of this turmoil appears an ordinary house cat named Rusty . . . who may turn out to be the bravest warrior of them all.

I like this book because it teaches you the life of a wild cat.
My faveorite cat is Firepaw
